Another Racing Season Comes to an End
2011 has been a successful racing season so far. I had the opportunity to race in NASA's very competitive BMW SpecE30 race class in 4 events this summer at Summit Point Motorsports Part and the Virginia International Raceway. Being a bit rusty from not spending much time behind the wheel over the last two years, I was curious about how many laps it would take to get back up to speed. To my amazement it didn't take very long and we were able to run at the pointy end of the field in all four events. It was a blast being able to step back into a car and run with competitive guys that car race at a professional level. I would very much suggest getting into a specE30 race car if you have the opportunity to do so. I chose to run with Drive Gear racing becuase of their open schedule and vast experience with the cars. You can check out this video of in car with Rob Gagliardo from Hyperfest. I am driving the Red E30 that is seen throughout the video. Unfortunately we had a minor collision with slower traffic and lost all of our aero advantage which ended up overworking the front tires. Representing CSI, Child Safety Incorporated was a success as well. There were many opportunities to share about what CSI does to protect children and families from the unfortunate situation of abductions. This partnership will continue to grow as we look into new markets and demographics for their product. Please take some time to check out http://www.childsafetyincorp.com/ for more information about their products and services.
We do currently have proposals out with several large companies and are praying for good responses. Grand AM is striving to be a great place for corporate involvement and 2012 will most certainly show their investments. Grand AM has announced with addition of two new events on the calendar, INDIANAPOLIS and the DETROIT street race. These two High Energy events move Grand Am's impact further west into new marketing segments.
Thank you again for staying tuned in. Please feel free to forward this to whomever you feel may want to read it. Have a Blessed Day.
