HYPERFEST 2012 is finally here and we have been working non stop to get ready for the track.  Last weekend I competed in the the Jefferson 500 14 hour Karting race at Summit Point and I can't wait to be back at the track this weekend for Hyperfest.  The Jefferson 500 most certainly tested mind, body, and, and sould so I know that I am prepared.  This year I will be competing in the very competitive GTS class filled with German Touring cars of all types.  We are also participating in the Laps for Life charity put on by Paul Reed Smith Guitars to benefit the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer center.

  The funding from the Laps for Life program goes directly to the The Living with Cancer Resource Program which was designed to offer supportive care programming to cancer patients and their families when they need it most - during their cancer treatment. The proceeds from Laps for Life have established individual and group programming focused on helping patients and their families build bridges back to wellness. Whether it is access to the latest in guided imagery, meditation and massage therapy or support groups for brain cancer, blood cancers and prostate cancer allowing patients and families the opportunity share with others with similar diseases. Many patients and families benefit from educational classes taught by expert social workers on topics like managing finances and can work directly with social worker to apply for government and private financial resources. This type of service ensures that when their cancer has been put into remission they aren't saddled with the reality of economic disability where the threat of foreclosures and bankruptcy loom.

  Laps for Life is keeping their patients and families in front for the race of their lives.   I am also going to be LIVE with Kelly Spinner friday the 15th at 8 am on WEEO FM, "The Evolution of Talk" radio show.  Please tune in to hear me discuss our many racing programs as well as our young drivers education program called Drivers Edge.  So many of our young drivers aren't being equipped with the necessary tools that teach them the fundamentals of an automobile and things like crash avoidance.  Drivers Edge is a free, thats right FREE program that has helped equip almost 100k young drivers with the skills necessary to driver safely and enjoy it.  We have had so many fatalities in our Central Pennsylvania area that we are bringing Drivers Edge to DC and hopefully to the Harrisburg Area so our young drivers can benefit from this program.  Please check out the Drivers Edge site and contact me if you would be interested in helping fund this FREE program or just sending your son or daughter.
